Peace is a tricky word for the leaders of the LDF due to their unfamiliarity with the word “Peace” attributed by their constant collaboration with criminals and their omnipresence in the world of organised crime.”Benefit of ignorance” can be allowed to these poor souls and let us go through their innocent yet very matured definition of peace according to their own deplorable standards.
Criminals: Illegitimate offsprings of the LDF government
The 100% literate state of Kerala realised only during the past five years that the long handle of the party is above the law of the land. How many instances did we have to behold this ridiculous situation where police stations were ransacked, policemen and women beaten simply because they arrested a ‘sickle and star’ comrade for a crime! Bombs and other destructive ammunitions were made under the aegis of the government to settle political rivalry.
Did we not see many being killed with these weapons of the devil? Sometimes the bombs themselves couldn’t withstand the sin of the handler that they themselves exploded, taking the lives the maker himself. Bomb defusing is what the hammer and sickle pals need to be adept at. You bet they are working on it! God’s Own Country became the land of the Party’s Own Goons, a parallel reign of terror. Yet the LDF claims that Kerala was the abode of bliss and peace!
Have a look at some of the statistics revealed by Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan in the Assembly in March 2010.
- 3000 cases of robbery
- 1582 of which happened in broad daylight & 1759 of them took place at public places
- 14404 case of house breaking
- 4527 cases of chain snatching
- 1435 Murders, out of which 44 were political murders
- 465 cases of destruction of vehicles
- 1447 cases of arson
- 15270 cases of people missing, 9538 of them women and 5732 men

Records Pity the Irrational Claim
According to the National Crime Records Bureau, Kerala stands second to none in crime rate and holds the prestigious second place in violent crimes. In the past four PEACEFUL years, 29,646 women were abused, out of which 158 were below the age of 10 years, 644 under 15 years, 13897 were between 15 and 29, 14549 between 30 and 65 and the remaining were above 65 years. What a peaceful state!! 609 women from the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes were abused during the reign of terror unleashed by the LDF.
Another of those fake promises by the Chief Minister was that he will handcuff the culprits behind Kiliroor and Kaviyoor case within the first six months of assuming power. It seems, with power comes double stand. The people of this state saw Shari’s father handing over the petition to the chief minister directly, after a while we saw the chief minister taking a nosedive saying that he did not receive any complaint from Shari’s father. O! Chief Minister! Not content with this, Shari’s parents were ruthlessly arrested as they held a fast in front of Cliff House to protest against the subversion of justice to their daughter.
Who can forget the 13 year old girl of from Poobvarani, Pala and three school children from Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha being found dead in mysterious circumstances? The mystery behind this is yet to be unravelled. It is rather unfortunate to say the least that the government cannot protect the modesty of the honourable women of this state.
Releasing Lethal Crime into the Society
325 criminals were released by the LDF government from various jails. What more do you need to get a glimpse of a peaceful state!?! Out of this 325 criminals released by the LDF government, 39 were behind the bars for either molesting or killing women, 18 were jailed for political assassination. The red devils attacked police stations and policemen JUST 49 times and released the red clad culprits forcibly. At least 84 policemen and women were severely assaulted and public property worth lakhs were destroyed.
The government claims that they modernised the police force. No wonder more than 20 people were killed due to the atrocities by the police, either in lock-up or elsewhere. Lock up deaths increased due to this so called ‘modernisation and these heinous acts were well covered up. Communication between the police and the CPI(M) goons became more easy and off-record as the police were given mobile phones (a move of modernisation) and now the police were given orders from the party offices rather than through proper channel. Yet the police force felt betrayed because the LDF was playing the game they were adept at – double bluff!
The past five years of LDF’s peaceful governance saw Hawalas, Alcohol, Vehicle, Sand, Sex mafias literally ruling this state. During the tenure of the UDF, 3600 criminals were booked under goonda act. This figure diminished to a mere 374 under the present government. Criminal cases against party cadres were withdrawn. Now we know why the goonda act was revised. Never in history did we have such a blatant violation of justice by those who had to fight for it!
We were all stunned by the deep rooted network of terrorist organisations like Lashkar-e-Toiba in Kerala. The LDF claims that a case was registered voluntarily against the 2008 SIMI camp in Wagamon, as though doing one’s duty, how pathetically it might be, is a matter to be proud of! However, the very boasting betrays the true nature of the LDF government. They filed a case against SIMI – great act. But an efficient government would have prevented the spread of such terrible incidents in the state. Prevention is always better than cure. But then, when did they have ample time to run the state?
A new definition to the word “Peace” has emerged over the past five years, this great invention was carried out by the Government and the red clad cadres alike. The Oxford and Webster’s should give the much deserving credit to our comrades for doing them such a favour of bringing in an extremely interesting synonym for the word ‘peace’. The people do not want this peace. Peace has been left discarded to rot in pieces for the past five years.
