The Chief Minister had announced his decision to go in for a live web cast of his office as part of the 100 day programme and to bring in transparency in administration.
The inaugural function of the web streaming was attended by Cabinet Ministers P. K. Kunhalikkutty, Aryadan Mohammed, Adoor Prakash, Abdu Rabb, P. K. Jayalakshmy, Deputy Speaker N. Shakthan, Planning Board Vice Chairman, Chief Secretary, and other top officials. This is the only Chief Minister’s office in India that makes live web cast.
Several additional features are incorporated in the website. Cabinet Briefing-Live webcast of meetings, press conferences etc from Chief Ministers office including Cabinet briefings, Press release, online facility to lodge complaint and its tracking, send ideas/suggestion to Chief Minister for formulating development plan for Kerala- ‘Vision 2030’, option for citizen journalism-people can send footage of events/issues, Documents related to Government, Asset Disclosure Form, Cartoons appeared on news papers/periodicals, Press Cuttings related to Government and Chief Minister, Stories and cartoons from the book ‘ Kunjoonju kathakalum alpam karyangalum’, Option to communicate with Chief Minister through Social Network such as Facebook and link to U tube Channel- for vidieos of Chief Minister etc. are the important ones among them.
